The cobblestone is operated under conditions of constant exposure to harmful atmospheric conditions (temperature and weather changes), intensive operating conditions and the action of microorganisms, so the paved area should be regularly swept with hair or polymer brushes, kept clean and joints filled with sand if necessary.
It is allowed to rinse particularly contaminated surfaces with ordinary water. It is unacceptable to have crushed stone, sifting and other hard abrasive materials on the surface on which motor vehicles move.
Use in winter
In winter, it is forbidden to apply salt to the paved area in order to melt the snow. Snow should be regularly removed from the surface of paving stones by mechanical means (using manual plastic shovels and special equipment with the use of special polyurethane overlays), preventing the formation of ice.
It is also forbidden to use sharp tools that can damage or destroy individual elements to remove snow and ice from the surface of paving stones. An alternative is to use chemicals that prevent icing. However, it should be taken into account that their abuse leads to a change in color, and sometimes to corrosion (destruction) of the upper layer of paving stones.
